Storyline:
Sheriff Owens is a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting
what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction
after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him
wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a
spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious,
wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at
200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of
gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Summerton
Junction, where the whole of U.S. law enforcement will have their last
opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the
border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted
out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens
ultimately accepts responsibility for the face off.
Review:
The good thing about The Last Stand is that Arnie is back. Everything else...we've seen before. It's just another action movie. Nothing more, nothing else. There is nothing new. Predictable as most of them. Sorry I can't say anything better about it but that's just how i feel. I'm glad that Arnie is back, but I hope he will make a few better movies than The Last Stand.

Storyline:
A match-up made in tough-guy heaven -- Jason Statham, Clive Owen and
Robert De Niro star in Killer Elite. Based on a shocking true story,
Killer Elite pits two of the world's most elite operatives - Danny, an
ex-special ops agent (Jason Statham) and Hunter, his longtime mentor
(Robert De Niro) - against the cunning leader of a secret military
society (Clive Owen). Covering the globe from Australia to Paris, London
and the Middle East, Danny and Hunter are plunged into a highly
dangerous game of
cat and mouse - where the predators become the prey.
Review:
First, I must say that I love Jason Statham's movies. That being said, I did not like this one very much. I expected much more action in it. And the action is why I love Jason Statham's movies. Here he has to act which is not the best idea in the world. He is just not convincing. The movie has a great cast: Jason Statham,
Clive Owen,
Robert De Niro, Dominic Purcell, but apparently that is not enough to make a good movie. The whole thing is a too slow, and it lasts almost 2 hours, the plot is all over the place (the scenes where we have Danny and his girlfriend are just not needed in the film), the characters are just there; after watching the film we know nothing about them... I watched it, and to be honest I could have spend 2 hours a lot better than watching this.
